"This was a great talk.  I like how Trish didn't assume we already new it all and walked us through how to prescribe and titrate insulin using the algorithms- it makes much more sense now."   Tami, RNP- family practice

"Walking through the ADA recommendations was so helpful. There just isn't enough hours in the day to stay on top of everything and it never seems like I get hands on information at conferences.  This is just what I needed."
                                                        C. Smith, MD- family practice

"Our staff gained a better understanding of the diabetes medications and insulins, and they loved the sessions about diet and budgeting carbs!  Trish has a wonderful way of teaching on a level that is easily understood by patients and staff!"    Carl- CPC Plus facilitator

Trish is always such a good resource for up to date diabetes information.
                                                         D. Hunter, MD- family practice

"I had the opportunity to participate in Trish’s Diabetes Boot Camp for health professionals as part of a health system Care Management/Coordination team and have observed her patient education events.  As a Practice Facilitator for the Arkansas Region I've seen practices, practitioners, and care teams across the region embrace the teaching, tools, and resources Trish offers to change clinical culture, workflow, and improve the patient experience and outcomes.  My experience in a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT), and Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) have made obvious the value and opportunity provided by Nutrition & Diabetes Education Services.  This program and educator are proven to have a significant return on investment for long term success of both the practice and patient." - Amanda Wyatt Hutto, Practice Facilitator AR Region, CPC+ Regional Learning Network

"Our  patients get so much out of Trish's class. They get information that they are able to apply and their A1Cs have definitely improved!"  Chris, LPN-Care Manager

"I was confused and worried after being diagnosed with Type  2 diabetes.  I was told to test but didn't know when or what the numbers meant.  I was  told to "watch my carbs" so I was starving myself.  After my wife and I attended Trish's group diabetes class it all came together and made sense.  I'm so thankful we went".  Steve- Patient with Type 2 diabetes

Individual

Individual Diabetes Education Classes start with a personal assessment of the person with diabetes' needs.  Classes last around an hour and a half and cover ADA care guidelines, healthy blood sugar goals, and lifestyle recommendations specific to that person's situation.

"I thought it would be just another class telling me what I couldn't eat and almost didn't go.  There was so much I didn't know about caring for my diabetes and didn't realize it.  I've had diabetes for 12 years and I've been doing it all wrong!  I'm so glad the care managers insisted I go to Trish's class.  Now I'm testing at the right times, I understand how my medicine can help me, and I'm finally eating right instead of the yo-yo of starving myself then bingeing.  I wish I'd had this class 12 years ago!"     Carol- Patient with Type 2 diabetes
